Singing & playing the Northland, Canada & USA..Even Shania came to watch me ! Now established in Toronto I hope you'll follow my adventures to sing my own songs, make hand made videos using imagination & determination and my stubborn use of my blended analog (original gear) & digital ..since 1978

TO THOSE WHO DARE TO DREAM - THE ROAD HAS BEEN LONG & FRAUGHT WITH TEARS, DISAPPOINTMENT & LEARNING. Though 'HOOKED' is 10 years old, she has not been released to the world until very recently. Too much new age digital learning to note here . Just know I will celebrate and love that it is finally here (under DONNA O) and continue to make music shorts. A dance single of Junction days was done in 2015, & INTERLUDE VIDEO just filmed 2023. I hope you'll enjoy the music as I've had making it ! D

Minimal tech required - my tiny palm recorder on the piano & voice in the air to capture the moments. No studio required until the song is finished.

A notable live & studio singer in Toronto, she has opened for such artists as Glen Campbell, Burton Cummings, Three Dog Night, James Brown, Patti Labelle & Dionne Warwick. She came to prominence at 16 in her hometown of Ottawa joining her father Dillon O'Connor - in the singing of the National Anthem for a season of Ottawa Rough Riders home games. As well as winning roles singing /dancing/acting in (Bye bye Birdie, West Side Story & Anne of Green Gables) to list a few. Touring across Canada & the U.S with her band 'Hostage' resulted in her first independent release produced by Hugh Marsh (Bruce Cockburnband) on her own OM records. Bruce joined her on 'Play it by Heart" earning radio airplay that year in Canada & the U.S. Returning after a decade on the road with her band (Shania Twain came to see her perform) arriving in Toronto & winning the SOCAN New Talent Demo Award put her into Orchard Studio( Jane Siberry, Moist ) releasing the EP 'As I am' . Quickly establishing a Singing, Songwriting , Arranging & Sessions career in Toronto as well as a thriving lesson studio in the Beaches.
